Transformation Project Manager - Southampton - up to £55,000k per annum

Are you an experienced leader looking to make a real difference in a leading local authority, to join our clients Corporate Resources team as Transformation Project Manager. You will relish the opportunity to deliver strategic projects, redesign business processes and implement technical solutions across the council and their partner organisations.

Certification in PRINCE2 (or equivalent project methodology) and/or ability to demonstrate competence through significant experience.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
Considerable (and practical) experience of project managing the delivery of large stand-alone projects, demonstrated by the successful implementation of new business processes and systems;
An excellent understanding (through practical experience) of the various project activities that need to be undertaken to deliver a business process and systems redesign project. This includes experience of:
- business process redesign;
- development of functional specifications to support IT solution development;
- experience of working closely with IT specialists to support technical specifications;
- developing SIT and UAT testing approach and test scripts;
- providing post implementation issue resolution;
- understanding the importance of, and complying with, programme governance;
Relevant business knowledge to support effective delivery of Corporate Resources transformation projects (i.e. a good understanding of HR, Finance, Recruitment or other Transactional Shared Services business processes).
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Able to analyse and present complex issues to individuals, small and large groups internally and externally. Ability to build strong and effective relationships and networks
Creative approach to supporting the Transformation agenda, considering imaginative or less traditional options for the future delivery of corporate resources.
Ability to confidently and constructively challenge current ways of working, behaviours and attitudes. Ability to identify, develop and maintain constructive relationships with both internal and external partners and customers;
Able to identify potential future priorities for the Corporate Resources Transformation team, constantly horizon scanning for opportunities, and bringing fresh ideas and new ways of thinking for the directorate.
Experience of using SAP, and/or project managing and implementing SAP related business change projects, experience of using Success Factors Recruiting, On-boarding and Learning solutions.
