Test Analyst (Bristol)

My client are on the lookout for an experienced Test Analyst who will be able to work the development team, the role will be responsible for full testing of their websites including associated APIs. This will include manual testing of new features, browser testing, regression testing, introduction of test tools and automation where relevant.

You will have the opportunity to become the first Test Analyst in their growing development team, the successful candidate will be an individual with initiative, able to introduce solid testing practices and tools to shape the testing structure within the development team for the foreseeable future.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning quality assurance (QA) for freesupertips.com and myracing.com
  • Working closely with the development and product teams to estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Ownership of creating and executing test scripts for new features added to our websites and execution of manual smoke testing for each product release
  • Mentoring and supporting development team as we rollout our automated testing strategy
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts, including unit tests, integration tests and UI testing
  • Browser / multiple device testing for all releases
  • Responsibility for coordinating and update actions from SAST and DAST outputs
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform regression and NFR testing for all web product releases
  • Working with offshore mobile development team to ensure consistency of testing procedures across all development teams

Skills and attributes:

Essential

  • Proven knowledge experience in web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP)
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin)
  • Experience writing unit tests for code
  • Experience with automated UI testing
