Job Title: Senior Buyer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing electronics components and a proven track record of successfully sourcing new products in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in driving our procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and components.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronics components and new products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
  2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
  3. New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to support the introduction of new products. Manage the procurement process for NPI projects, including supplier selection, pricing negotiations, and lead time management.
  4. Cost Analysis and Optimization: Analyze costs, market trends, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and delivery standards.
  5. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory. Work closely with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
  6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, supplier reliability, and market fluctuations. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues and ensure continuity of supply.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to align procurement activities with business objectives and project timelines. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address their requirements and concerns.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on electronics components and new product sourcing.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze cost structures and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems and supplier management platforms.
  • CIPS or other relevant certifications are preferred
