Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing electronics components and a proven track record of successfully sourcing new products in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in driving our procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and components.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electronics components and new products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market trends.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to support the introduction of new products. Manage the procurement process for NPI projects, including supplier selection, pricing negotiations, and lead time management.
- Cost Analysis and Optimization: Analyze costs, market trends, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and delivery standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory. Work closely with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, supplier reliability, and market fluctuations. Develop contingency plans to address potential issues and ensure continuity of supply.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and finance, to align procurement activities with business objectives and project timelines. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address their requirements and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on electronics components and new product sourcing.
- Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze cost structures and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems and supplier management platforms.
- CIPS or other relevant certifications are preferred
