Remote Java Developer

An opportunity is available for a Java Developer to join an eCommerce company that's HQ is in Birmingham, although this role can be fully remote. Being in the digital space, they have seen huge growth as a business during the pandemic and they are looking for a developer to help them with their next phase of growth. Your role will be to develop bespoke systems that are complex as well as new systems that help solve customer and retailer issues. You will be joining a cross-functional Engineering team who are friendly, extremely talented and very supportive. There are a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline for 2021 already so this is a great time to get involved and help contribute to something amazing.

What you’ll be doing
You will be involved in the full development life cycle from planning to testing, development and support. You’ll work closely with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility. You will be writing high quality distributed system software as well as maintaining and extending existing features. You will collaborate with the development team to design and build new features end to end. There will be a focus on developing reliable, scalable, highly available apps, tools and services for a variety of end users.
