An opportunity is available for a Backend Developer who is proficient in more than one language to join a start-up on a remote basis. They have several products that they are working on and they are doing amazing work with the police to create software that will make a huge impact on what is achievable when investigating crimes. One of their products is making it possible, down to the power of AI, to sift through millions of images and detect illegal content in a fraction of the time that it would take a person to do so.
Their tech stack uses Python mainly but also some Java, Go and Node so experience with as many of these as possible would be ideal but not essential, as long as you would be willing to pick things up. You will be part of a cross-functional team, working on Greenfield software with little red tape. As well as being able to work remotely anywhere in the UK, they also operate a completely flexible working day so you can work the hours you like to suit your day. They also offer a personal development day at the end of every two-week sprint so you can take some time to try out new technology or work on your own personal project.
