Azure IoT Specialist | Up to £80,000 | Hybrid working | Oxfordshire Area 

Position Overview: As an Azure IoT Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our IoT strategy. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Azure-based IoT solutions that enable us to collect, analyze, and leverage data to drive innovation and business growth. Key Responsibilities:

  1. IoT Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define IoT use cases and requirements. Design end-to-end IoT solutions leveraging Azure IoT services that align with business goals and sustainability objectives.

  2. Azure IoT Hub Implementation: Set up and configure Azure IoT Hub, manage device provisioning and security, and ensure seamless device connectivity.

  3. Data Ingestion and Processing: Develop pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and storage in Azure, utilizing services like Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Cosmos DB.

  4. Device Integration: Integrate various IoT devices, sensors, and edge computing solutions into the Azure IoT ecosystem, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.

  5. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures to protect IoT data and devices. Stay updated on industry best practices and compliance standards, ensuring our IoT solutions meet all regulatory requirements.

  6. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve IoT system issues. Perform regular maintenance and updates to ensure system reliability.

  7. Scalability and Performance Optimization: Continuously optimize IoT solutions for scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging Azure's cloud resources efficiently.

  8. Data Analytics and Visualization: Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop insights from IoT data. Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders to monitor and make informed decisions.

  9. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of IoT solutions, processes, and best practices. Share knowledge and mentor team members as needed.

  10. Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest developments in IoT and Azure technologies, evaluating and recommending new tools or services that can enhance our IoT capabilities.
