Infrastructure Engineer

I am currently recruiting for an infrastructure engineer with a passion for designing and delivering network designs as solutions in our networks and test beds located in Bristol. The role has a physical element to manage equipment installation and relocation. The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day management and update of the IT infrastructure, switches, routers and private cellular network elements in the test beds.
These activities will be planned with the development team so software solution is compliant with latest packages and firmware. As a professional infrastructure engineer clear and accurate documentation will be produced suitable for use with customers and other external parties such as suppliers and auditors.
● Systems administration of the corporate network and test beds ● Diagnosing and resolving network issues, including over VPN ● Maintaining our servers / network devices, including package and firmware updates ● Produce and maintain documentation of the processes developed and design of the systems ● Design and implementation of IT policy Essential ● 2+ years maintaining compute, network and storage infrastructure ● Strong Linux Skills, including bash scripting (preferably Ubuntu and CentOS) ● Experience with VM management (preferably KVM/RHEV)
