Job Description:
As a Compartmentation Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fire safety and compliance of buildings. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough fire risk assessments and compartmentation surveys to identify potential fire hazards and compliance issues.
- Preparing detailed reports outlining survey findings, recommendations, and remedial actions.
- Inspecting fire doors, fire stopping, and other compartmentation elements to ensure they meet relevant building regulations and standards.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to building owners, managers, and contractors on fire safety measures and compliance requirements.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of fire safety management plans.
- Staying updated with the latest fire safety legislation and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Building Surveying, Fire Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in fire safety consultancy or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of building regulations, fire safety standards, and compartmentation principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools and equipment.
