Job Description:

As a Compartmentation Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the fire safety and compliance of buildings. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough fire risk assessments and compartmentation surveys to identify potential fire hazards and compliance issues.
  • Preparing detailed reports outlining survey findings, recommendations, and remedial actions.
  • Inspecting fire doors, fire stopping, and other compartmentation elements to ensure they meet relevant building regulations and standards.
  • Providing expert advice and guidance to building owners, managers, and contractors on fire safety measures and compliance requirements.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of fire safety management plans.
  • Staying updated with the latest fire safety legislation and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Building Surveying, Fire Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in fire safety consultancy or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of building regulations, fire safety standards, and compartmentation principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software tools and equipment.
